PrintFM will broadcast live for the first time from a UK trade event

Manufacturers including Epson, HP and Hybrid Services (Mimaki) have revealed the new technologies they will showcase at The Print Show and The Sign Show next month.

The Print Show and The Sign Show will take place at Hall 3 of the NEC in Birmingham from 23 to 25 September.

Epson will return to The Print Show with a range of new SureColor kit, including the SC-S9100, a new eco-solvent replacement to the S80600.

Also on display will be the SC-R5000 latex printer, Epson's first UV large-format printer the SC-V7000, and the new SC-V2000 A3 flatbed, featuring a 10-colour UV inkset. Additionally visitors will find the SC-G6000 roll-to-roll printer and SC-T5200DM aqueous printer.

This year at The Sign Show, HP is set to showcase its new HP Latex R530 all-in-one printer for the first time in the UK, along with its Latex 630W and 830W. HP will also demonstrate its HP DesignJet XL3800 large-format printer and HP DesignJet Z9+Pro at the event.

While Hybrid Services, the UK and Ireland distributor for Mimaki, will use its stand to launch the Mimaki UJV300DTF-75, a compact, UV DTF printer that can print on film at a resolution of up to 1,200dpi, runs six colours and can print at widths of up to 640mm.

Meanwhile, the first and only 24/7 global internet radio station dedicated solely to print and graphic communication, PrintFM, has launched, and will be broadcast live from The Print Show.

It represents the first time PrintFM will broadcast live from a UK trade event and will be led by print evangelist Deborah Corn.

Corn, who is also the executive director of Girls Who Print Global, said that PrintFM represents "more than just a radio station".

'It's the soundtrack of print," commented Corn. "We have built a platform that delivers the insight of prominent and new industry voices, the stories of print innovators, and the energy of events directly to anyone, anywhere in the world. Tune in anytime, whether you are at home, at work, or on the go."

Chris Davies, event and sales director for The Print Show, said: "We are delighted to support the launch of PrintFM, an incredibly exciting initiative for the print industry.

"The Print Show and our new sister event, The Sign Show, are very much about supporting innovation in print. PrintFM is one of the stand-out developments of the year, and we look forward to participating in the station's first live broadcast from an industry event."

Listeners can tune in to PrintFM at printfmradio.com for programs dedicated to the global print community.

The Print Show launched in 2015 as an annual show where exhibitors can roll out their latest technologies to the UK print sector.
