Artworker and PrintLogic Announce Integration to Streamline Prepress Workflows for Printers
Manchester & Dublin – Artworker, the cloud-based prepress automation platform, has announced a new integration with PrintLogic, the print MIS developed by Wildcard Software. This collaboration enables a connected workflow from estimates and order creation in PrintLogic through to preflight checks, file corrections and proofing in Artworker.
When a new order is placed in PrintLogic, a job is automatically created in Artworker, complete with key job details. Once artwork is signed off and ready to go to print, order statuses are automatically updated in PrintLogic, giving full visibility across both systems and eliminating the need for duplicate data entry.
"Integrations between platforms are key to driving efficiency and innovation in the print industry," said Nate Duckworth, Co-Founder at Artworker. "PrintLogic has consistently been one of our most requested MIS integrations from our UK users, which is a testament to the value they add. We're proud to deliver this connection, helping teams save time, reduce errors, and improve turnaround."
Real-World Impact
Early adopters of the integration are already reporting significant improvements.
"PrintLogic was already doing a lot of the heavy lifting for us, but plugging in Artworker has taken a load of time out of the design studio, which means files are getting to press much quicker." said Neil Wallis, Director at Inkwell Printing.
"We're no longer rekeying info into two systems or chasing proofs. Office staff can instantly see the status of a proof or artwork, and the files land exactly where they need to, with the right spec and order details already there.
It's made the handover from sales to press way smoother. It's also given us more efficiency, clearer accountability, and better oversight across every job."
Peter Jones, Managing Director at Ashley Press, added: "Artworker's software is a perfect fit for our small digital print business. The new integration with PrintLogic means no more data entry, every order is pre-populated automatically. Proofing time, errors, fixes and sign-off time have come right down with a great reminder feature if your customer hasn't yet signed off the proof. Customers even commented on the new proofing tool and how easy it was for them.
"One customer even suggested an improvement, which we mentioned to Artworker and has been implemented. The first few days, we had lots of questions which Nate and the team readily answered, and it's no coincidence that our inbox went down from over 200 emails to 40 very quickly. We now feel in much control and our order-to-press process is much more streamlined and slicker.”
Sacha Pretot, Managing Director at 4 Creative Solutions, said: "We've been using Artworker for a while and love its intuitive interface and overall ease of use. When we realised Artworker could integrate with PrintLogic and handle large artwork files without restriction, it was clear we had an opportunity to streamline and improve our workflow. When an order is placed or accepted in PrintLogic, Artworker automatically sends an email to the client requesting artwork upload.
"From there, the team pre-flights the file using Artworker's Pre-Flight and Fix Up tools, streamlining a process previously handled through Pitstop Pro. After pre-flighting, proofs are sent directly to clients for approval through Artworker. Once approved, PrintLogic is automatically updated to indicate the job is press-ready. This integration has allowed us to standardise our pre-press process under one system.
"It's increased efficiency, improved client communication, and reduced reliance on multiple tools. The transition has been smooth, thanks to the support and flexibility of the Artworker team. We're excited about the further enhancements and integrations they're currently developing."
Building a More Connected Print Workflow
Geoff Needham, Managing Director at Wildcard Software, commented: "Wildcard Software is delighted to announce a new integration with Artworker, which will allow customers to use both tools together seamlessly.
Artworker is a user-friendly product created to help printers reduce the time spent managing the process of getting the initial artwork ready to print.
Integrating this process with the many workflow tools already included in PrintLogic will save even more time for our customers, and we're excited to continue our collaboration with Artworker in the coming months."
