Based on a survey of BPIF members, Priorities for Print communicates to policymakers the top 10 ways the industry feels current policy is proving a barrier to growth. Looking ahead to 2027, it calls on the Government – and Parliament more widely – to take ten actions to support the industry across employment, investment and innovation.

It also addresses some of the key myths which perpetuate around printing.

It highlights that print is sustainable, credible and innovative – and the key role it plays in the UK economy.

Priorities for Print also includes stories of successful visits by MPs to printers in their constituencies and calls on policymakers to learn more about the vital local and national contributions printing companies make.

Charles Jarrold, chief executive, BPIF, said: "The printing industry, and manufacturing more widely, are strong and secure foundations on which policy and decision-makers can depend to achieve economic growth. Yet the policy levers chosen by Government are crucial if we are to continue to be a valuable contributor to a UK success story.

"Our members have been clear in their message to decision-makers: help us to help you. Employment, investment and innovation are key to growth, we urge the Government to take heed of our top ten ways it can support our industry over the next two years."
