Hubergroup Print Solutions has inaugurated a new mixing station for its solvent-based Gecko inks in Sainte-Sigolène, France. The facility strengthens its presence in one of the country's key packaging regions.
Opened on 20 June, the site features facilities for ink storage, mixing, technical support and laboratory services, aiming to improve efficiency and service for flexible packaging manufacturers in the region.
The new facility underlines the strategic importance of the French market for Hubergroup, with the company highlighting its ability to respond more quickly to customer needs thanks to increased proximity.
Adrien Pflieger, MD of Hubergroup France, said: "The new site is a real game-changer for us and our customers in the region. Geographical proximity, our technical expertise, and our quick response create a new level of efficiency for flexible packaging manufacturers."
Located in a region responsible for nearly half of France's national extrusion activity, the Sainte-Sigolène site has an initial capacity of around 100 tons per year, with potential for future growth. The investment aims to offer faster delivery, shorter response times, and direct access to on-site technical assistance for local packaging businesses, including support for colour matching and troubleshooting.
The Sainte-Sigolène team includes two sales engineers, a sales representative, and a station manager, working alongside a logistics partner. They are supported by Hubergroup's European network, including laboratory personnel and product managers based in Germany.
Pflieger added: "The responsiveness of our team in France, but also of the international hubergroup network, combined with a solid understanding of the specific challenges of the French market, will enable us to meet the needs of local customers and support the growth of the sustainable packaging market in France."
The new station is dedicated to Hubergroup's Gecko range of solvent-based inks, including the NC-free, PU-based Gecko Platinum series and deinking-compatible solutions. The site will also supply related products such as varnishes, barrier coatings, primers, whites, additives, and laminating adhesives, helping customers develop sustainable flexible packaging solutions.
