CGN Juner Launches 30,000-Ton Polymer Plant in Guangdong
On March 25, 2025, CGN Juner (Zhongshan) New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CGN Nuclear Technology, officially commissioned its first-phase modified polymer materials production facility at the Greater Bay Area Polymer Materials R&D and Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Zhongshan’s Dongfeng Town. Local officials and corporate executives attended the inauguration ceremony.
The 18,000-square-meter facility operates 12 production lines with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons of specialized polymers, including modified polypropylene, polycarbonate, and polyamide. These materials will serve industries such as automotive, electronics, healthcare, aerospace, and machinery, primarily targeting southern China while expanding to central and western regions.
As a key provincial and municipal project, the Greater Bay Area Polymer Base spans 136 mu (approximately 22.5 acres) and serves as CGN’s strategic hub for polymer R&D and smart manufacturing in southern China. The base aligns with CGN’s roadmap for nuclear technology applications and advanced material innovation.
