Suining Launches 100 Million Yuan High-End Packaging Material Project
On March 6, Suining County’s Shaji Town commenced construction of a high-end packaging material project with a total investment of 100 million yuan. The initiative aims to address the growing demand for corrugated cardboard boxes driven by the rapid expansion of Shaji’s e-commerce and furniture industries.
Project Details:
Annual Output: 120 million square meters of advanced packaging materials
Facilities: 25,000-square-meter factory with two production lines
Economic Impact: Expected annual revenue of 150 million yuan and 4.5 million yuan in tax contributions
Timeline: Construction began in March 2024, with completion slated for October 2025
According to Wang Guizhang, the project manager, the facility will specialize in producing high-quality corrugated packaging to serve local e-commerce and furniture businesses, creating 60+ jobs for skilled workers.
Wang Zhenhua from Shaji’s Investment Office highlighted that the town currently consumes approximately 480 million square meters of corrugated cardboard annually, relying entirely on external suppliers. This project will fill a critical gap in the local supply chain, optimize resources, and strengthen support for Shaji’s furniture sector.
