The printing and packaging industry is a traditional pillar of Longgang's economy. To inject new vitality into this sector, Longgang has focused on the needs of its 43,000 printing market entities, deepening the innovation model of "leading enterprises + research institutes (universities) + industrial chains." By integrating resources from the Printing Industry Innovation Alliance and the Intellectual Property Alliance, Longgang is driving the transformation of "100 enterprises to strengthen, 1,000 enterprises to advance, and 10,000 enterprises to upgrade," accelerating the shift from "Longgang Manufacturing" to "Longgang Intelligent Manufacturing."

Are discarded shrimp and crab shells just kitchen waste? Not anymore! Wenzhou Jiayuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has embraced innovation, overcoming technical challenges and expanding applications to successfully extract chitosan fiber from these shells. This fiber boasts excellent broad-spectrum antibacterial properties and biodegradability, making it an ideal material for industries such as aviation, military, healthcare, and apparel. Jiayuan Biotechnology's new products, including chitosan facial masks and chitosan deodorizing socks, have already garnered widespread acclaim.

Zheng Guojian, the company's leader, highlighted that the scarcity of professional talent and the complexity of production processes have long been challenges for the chitosan fiber industry. To address this, Jiayuan Biotechnology has established stable collaborations with renowned universities and scholars, founding the Jiayuan Chitosan Research Institute. With over 20 patents across seven countries, the company aims to achieve an annual chitosan fiber production of over 100 tons by 2025, driving an estimated output value of more than 2 billion yuan.

Imagine brushing a water-filled pen across a page, and suddenly, animal patterns come to life. This is the magic of the early education interactive toy books developed by Wenzhou Gudeng Stationery Co., Ltd. These books use temperature-sensitive, water-reactive, and friction-based technologies to reveal colors or emit fragrances, stimulating children's sensitivity to colors and scents. The books have won the hearts of consumers.

A Gudeng Stationery representative explained, "The color-changing books are pre-printed with colorful patterns, covered with a layer of white water-reactive ink. When water is applied, the animal patterns appear. Rubbing the page releases a grape scent, which can last for two to three years."

Gudeng Stationery has tapped into children's interests and developmental needs, launching a series of products such as color-changing books, sensory knowledge books, shaped books, and sticker quiet books. These products incorporate sensory integration training, cognitive development, habit formation, and knowledge enlightenment, and are sold globally through platforms like TikTok, Ozon, and AliExpress.

In recent years, more Longgang enterprises have found new avenues for differentiated growth through keen market insights and continuous innovation. Cutting, pressing, coloring—DIY stamp-making is not just a children's educational toy but also a creative outlet for many adults, especially women, who enjoy crafting personalized items to express their ideas and document their lives. Wenzhou Deluya Cultural Products Co., Ltd.'s DIY stamp series has become a hit domestically and internationally, captivating consumers worldwide.

Wu Xiaobin, the company's leader, shared that since its founding in 2016, Deluya initially focused on producing silicone crystal stamps. Later, it expanded to materials like wood, sponge, and rubber, exporting to countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Italy. Despite its modest size, Deluya ranks among the industry leaders in product variety and development capabilities. The company plans to further expand its market through exhibitions and collaborations with museums to create interactive experience zones.

As manufacturing enters the digital era, the demand for small-batch, personalized orders continues to rise. Digital plate-free printing has emerged as a solution to shorten production cycles and reduce costs. Longgang Ruiding Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. is at the forefront of this transformation.

In Ruiding's dust-free workshop, digital printing machines operate at high speed. These machines eliminate the need for plate-making, allowing for single-sheet printing and easy layout adjustments, significantly simplifying the traditional printing process. Huang Jiasheng, the company's leader, explained, "The speed is incredible. We can design and print today, and the products can be shipped the next day." Traditional printing processes could take up to five days, excluding design time, but digital plate-free printing reduces this to just ten minutes. Additionally, the eco-friendly ink system and precise color registration make the products highly appealing to customers.
