Skandacor Acquires Bagel Systems to Expand Global Foil and Finishing Capabilities

ROCHESTER, NY – Skandacor, a leading provider of print finishing and specialty solutions across North America, has announced the acquisition of Bagel Systems, a pioneering manufacturer of thermal laminating and specialty finishing equipment based in Barcelona, Spain.
This strategic acquisition strengthens Skandacor’s position as a global innovator in foil and finishing technologies, while extending its reach into international markets. Bagel Systems, known for its cutting-edge digital laminating systems like the Digifav B2 and the Falcon B1, brings engineering excellence and a proven track record of innovation to the Skandacor portfolio.
"This is an exciting step forward for both companies," said Brad Drever, President of Skandacor. "Bagel Systems has long been a leader in specialty finishing technology, with a reputation for quality and creativity that matches our own. By joining forces, we’re unlocking new potential for innovation and delivering even greater value to our customers worldwide."
The acquisition reflects Skandacor’s ongoing investment in the evolution of print finishing - particularly in digital embellishment, foiling, and specialty laminating. With this move, Skandacor gains access to Bagel’s European manufacturing capabilities and engineering expertise, while Bagel Systems will benefit from Skandacor’s strong sales and service network in North America.
"We are proud to become part of the Skandacor family," said Jordi Martí Sevil, Founder and CEO of Bagel Systems. "Our companies share the same passion for quality, innovation, and customer success. This partnership gives Bagel the opportunity to grow and evolve on a much larger scale while continuing to serve our partners in Europe and beyond."
Bagel Systems will continue to operate from its headquarters in Barcelona under the Skandacor umbrella. The integration of teams will focus on collaboration, cross-training, and joint product development to accelerate the launch of next-generation finishing technologies.
This acquisition is effective immediately. Customers of both companies can expect business continuity, increased product support, and access to a broader range of finishing solutions.
